![]() note: blink led in examples in running fine with this. i just tried to run servo sweep in examples. but the servo motor goes to angle 0 and jiggles at that position. The problem does not occur without the Serial.begin in the setup. Hi all, I am using a Arduino pro mini connected to computer via USB cable (with six pin header at other end to connect pro mini) to run servo motor. ![]() Put it back in, and it will once again show up under Serial Ports.Quickly afterwards pull the TTL connector out of the arduino.Pull the USB cable out of the computer, then put it back in.When I reconnect it, it does not show up under Serial Ports (no matter how many times I try).Disconnect the arduino (pull out the USB cable from the computer).Upload an empty program with only Serial.begin(9600) in setup().The problem does not occur with any of the other Arduino's I own (Duemilanove, Uno, Mega1280). Firstly, I was given a black cord to connect and a little red rectangle (pictured). It arrived today and I am having quite a few issues (I am very new to all of this). I had contacted staff and they told me to purchase the SparkFun FTDI Starter Kit - 5V. To follow along, you’ll need a few extra items: Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 3.3V/8MHz DEV-11114 Its blue Its thin Its the Arduino Pro Mini SparkFuns minimal design SparkFun FTDI Basic Breakout. I recently purchased an Arduino Pro Mini 5V and needed to connect it to my computer. I have been able to reproduce the problem on all three computers I tried it on (2x MacBook Pro running Lion, 1x Windows Vista), and across 4 different arduino pro mini's (all 5V 16Mhz Atmega328's). In this tutorial, we’ll go over how to set up and use the 3.3V Arduino Pro Mini, everything from assembling the tiny Arduino to programming it. When uploaded with certain code, when I disconnect and reconnect the USB cable it doesn't show up under serial ports anymore (or with a 'ls -l /dev/cu.*' for that matter). I have been running into very strange problems with an Arduino Pro Mini 5V 16Mhz Atmega328 connected to the computer with an USB FTDI TTL cable.
