In the last 4 years, I have rented cars for epic journeys discovering countries, in Ireland, Italy, Morocco, South Africa, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, All those countries were 2-3 weeks rentals coast to coast, border to border, over mountains and through rover valleys etc. I have a 74 TR6 fully restored I drive about 2K a year, and roadster about 2K a Year. I rent about 40 Hertz/Enterprise vehicles a year, in Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Nashville, Chicago, Minneapolis, LA, Denver and NYC. The 997 I just bought in June, I drove from Oregon to North Carolina via National parks for 4000 miles. My personal DD is a 19 Golf AllTrack I use for 15K miles a year, mainly in North Carolina, but spent 2 years in Florida, and drive I-75 and I-4 often, two crazy roadways with accidents daily. ![]() Unless you are a Uber/Lyft driver, for safety and liability, or, a commercial driver in urban areas, why have a cam, to be paranoid? I would venture to say I drive more miles per year than anyone on this thread and in more cities and situations.
